Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation and the city of Vancouver provide an exciting and diverse recreation program for all ages, interests and abilities at four local community centers. Volunteers are an important asset to the operation of these centers. Most volunteer opportunities are available to community members who can make a weekly commitment for six or more months. Firstenburg Community Center (700 NE 136th Ave.)

Youth sports - Coaches are needed for soccer, t-ball, basketball and other sports.

Climbing wall - Help kids and adults negotiate Firstenburg Community Center's climbing wall: Sadri's Summit.

Trapedero II - The senior area at Firstenburg hosts a number of programs and events throughout the year.

Scanner - Help greet customers, check people in, answer questions and check out equipment.
Marshall Community Center (1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.)

Access to Recreation - Mentor and assist citizens with disabilities to enjoy the various recreational programming opportunities.

Hike and walk program - Planning and orientation leaders for hikes and walks.

50+ travel program - Travel Planners, drivers and office assistants needed.
